| The tarp flew off my windowless car last week & I'm still feeling water / moist rusty dirt in my tunnel & all the other little hollow bits on the chassis. Is there any sure way to drain this? How funked is my chassis? |

Put it out in the sun??
The dirt and rust was likely already there, this just floated it all.
Are you planning on taking the body off the pan? |

| You could pull the cover plate off the frame head and the one under the back seat. That may help get a little air flow in there. |

| I would pull the front inspection plate, raise the rear of the car and rinse the entire tunnel out to get the dirt & rust out. Remove the plate under the back seat and stick the garden hose in there and blast away until the water comes out the other end clean & clear. It will then dry out faster after that. After it's dried you could spay some fluid film or some other rust inhibitor in the tunnel to stop further rusting. |

I took it a step further by adding a fan pointing in the front inspection access when I coated the inside of my tunnel with rustoleum rusty metal primer and enamel. Getting the air moving with a fan had it dry as a bone in there over night. |

| What they said, and then run some ospho or something through it after it dries and don't call the EPA for advice. If you want to get really into the weeds, there are various spray products for these "inside" applications to help slow/stop rust. |

The exhaust hose of a vacume cleaner will also help to dry it quicker. But the noise will drive you nuts!
Best to stick it in there and leave for an hour or so. |
