My stock 74 runs real good most of the time. But sometimes after pulling up a hill in 3rd & about 3000 rpm the exhaust sounds lumpy and there is some vibration of the shifter like a cylinder is not firing right. I have new plug wires, plugs electrodes not worn, valves adjusted & good compression. My next effort may be new dist cap. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Does the car shudder and hesitate a little at those rpm's?
If so I'd suggest the main jet is a little lean. |

| It does have a bit of hesitation when first accelerating at low throttle & loer rpm. When rolling along a flat road at 50 does sound a bit burbly. |
