| We were salvaging parts off the shell of '66 bug that was headed to the crusher. We were doing great until it came to the shifter rod disconnection and under a time constraint my buddy cut the wrong side of union with a 90 grinder. So i have a 66 swing axle with a chopped shifter rod end. Is that a replaceable part? Should i toss it now? |

| Don't toss, they are avaliable in the classifieds or part suppliers. just need to remove the nosecone. Make sure the 3 shift forks are even when you put it back together. I'm assuming your talking about the Hockey Stick right? |

| X2. Easy fix. You need a hockey stick. |

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! This is coming from man who is currently taking a break from pulling his tranny for the second time in two weeks because he didn't pay attention to this. But you live, you learn... well you live anyways, lol |
