what is it
it has some wires connected to it and looks like it need 3 more wires to be connected to it
which wires are the three
There are 3 loose wire that could posible go on it:
From the back of car-blue wire with 2 white strips
From the back of the car- whit wire with black cover on it
From front of car- medium thick red wire with 2 black stripes
Where do these wires go
Also from weird silver box there is a wire that comes from it and goes some where
it is black and incased with black cover
where does it go

Yes it definantly sounds like your referring to the rear defroster solenoid.
Most solenoids could perform several functions/applications depending on how they are wired, just because they have alot of prongs on them does not mean that they all get used. some may be redundant...
You just need to follow a diagram and hook up the wires according to the #'s imprinted on the solenoid, the numbers should read something like 85, 86, 87 and 30... |
