So I just finished putting in a new set of house batteries for my bus and I was thinking about building a fuse box. The old house battery just ran directly to the fridge and was spliced with a wire going to my interior lights and vdo guages. Instead I was thinking about running the live wire into a fuse box before sending other wires to the lights, etc.
Has anyone done this before, any ideas. If anyone also knows something about fuse sizes and amp ratings that would be great. |

| I took the accessory fuse hot lead off and wired it up to an extra fuse block with six fuses on it. Works great but you can't have anything with a large amp draw(12v compressor) run off of it unless I unplug or turn off everything. That is the only thing I have had probs with. I am always messin with something so the extra electric hook ups are great. I have thought about bringing a larger wire up to power everything. |

Good to know about the limit on the fuse box, never really thought of that. I think Ill still add one since my fridge is about the biggest thing I need to run (4.5amps).
Thanks |
