| New 2.0 liter in my 73 Campmobile. New Rancho Performance transmission and clutch. 300 miles, just breaking things in and it started getting progressively harder to shift into r,1 and 2 gear. And then, I attempted to shift into reverse, I heard a clunk and now it seems almost stuck between gears. I cant shift out of what appears to be second gear. Clutch engages, but it will not shift out of that gear. If I let out the clutch, and attempt to drive, I hear a kind of high pitched grinding. Any ideas??? |

Did you replace the pilot bearing in the crankshaft Before
you installed the transmission/
And you filled the transmission with oil...and put some grease on the
input shaft.
Take 2 Aspirins and call Rancho in the morning. |

| Yes, did all that and yes I will call Rancho in the am. No aspirin yet quite yet. Any ideas of what may be happening? |

The trans should be stiff shifting since they would update
the carrier and the springs and check balls for the detent plungers
But, the clunk noise could be bad engine carrier mounts or front mount loose.
also if you overheated the cltch disc out Hotrodding it
Maybe you should Double check All of the installation to make
sure you didn't leave something loose. |
