I've got alot of photos hosted on flicker and can not get them to imbed propery on thesamba forums. On each picture in flickr ther is a "share" button on the upper right of the picture. When you click on that you can grab the link. The picture will not display when placed between the image brackets that the tutorial on this site says to use. I've had no problem using images from other hosting services but i can't figure this one out. Help!

I find that you have to select view all sizes, then select the size you want, then right click on said photo, and paste into img tags.

I can't get that to work either. I guess I'll stop using flickr. What a pain.

Looks like you have to right click the photo then go into properties then cut and paste the link. What a hassle.

The failsafe method is to draw up your flickr picture...right click on the picture..."copy image url" and paste it into your Samba topic between the "img" tags. The url should always end with the .jpg extension.

You need to use whatever link they provide that ends in .JPG.

If it's VW-related, please use the Gallery on this site instead so your photos are not dead in every thread you posted in when you quit Flickr.

Thanks John but when I draw up the picture on flicker and then right click on the picture itself I don't have that option. Is that something I have to change on the setting on my computer? There is a copy option but after clicking on the copy when I go to paste it there is nothing there.

Everett the pictures are from a VW event. almost all of them have vw content but a few like the one already shown on this thread are of people. How would this work with hosting them on thesamba? Do I need to find another place to host the few images that do not have a vw in them?

Hmmm I don't know why your browser isn't giving you the "Copy image url" option...I use Google Chrome and it will always give that option. If your browser offers "Open image in new tab" use that and then copy the url in the url address window.

As long as you post your show pictures in the correct section you will be allowed to upload pictures of groups of people at the show.

Yes, it's ok to post photos of people at a show... I almost always let those slide if it's part of the event.
