Hey guys,
I purchased this NOS switch to replace my broken switch. It is a 111955517C windshield wiper switch. It has a push button for the washer fluid, as expected. It is a 1 speed switch, as expected. It's a "twist" on/off, instead of a "push/pull" on/off switch. Trying to ID what it's from. Bought it from a guy in France to replace my '66 Beetle wiper switch, but noticed that it's not a push/pull switch when I received it. My old one is a push/pull on/off switch, and the '66 Beetle manual states that it's push/pull as well. Maybe they were twist style in the European market?

Oh, there's a 1967 1300A-1300-1500 European Owner's manual in the Technicial archives... it does say to turn the switch.
I think that at some point SWF started making all switches in the twist style... if it's got the square body it's twist.

| Thanks Andy. I saw that too, but I thought they went to a 2 speed wiper motor/switch in '67. Figured it wasn't relevant to this particular switch. Were there 1 speed wiper motors in '67? |

| Yeah, those particular Euro models were all 6V, and single speed wiper motors. The USA got 12V, and the two speed wipers for Bugs, a year ahead of the rest of the world. |

Interesting stuff. Thanks Andy. It seems I have a 1 year only part here then? A '67 European Single Speed Wiper Switch.
