Apparently, the buses aren't that rare...until you're looking for parts! I'm looking for a decklid, but not one that early. Put em' up for sale, I bet there is a need for them!

Gray as in primer or painted?

Either one sounds uncommon for a '57.

paint...i know my 58 doubledoor panel is gray primer in the rear and and dove blue on the dash...but the 57 doubledoor bus i found last weekend whats left on the dash is either white or gray...i brought home the rear aprin and it looks gray to me and you can see the different shade of gray under it

holy crap

Is the body solid or is it rusted through? That's amazing.

The bulkhead sure does look light grau L345. Any handwriting in the headlight buckets? Looks like L345 was an option in Aug 58. Could be L21 Pearl Grey if built before Aug 58...

I would say that is for an uncommon color.

I would roll it that color and call it the Chocolate bus, LOL. Awesome find.

With the later over head vent box would put this in 58, not 57. Cool bus though.
