I know I can get it at any hardware store ,...what is the ideal one to get 1 x1....1/2x1/2?????

Been a few years since buying some of that. The wider the better for over the cooler. Have installed it in several rows over the cooler. 3/8" thick is best.

Then for the DH exhaust shell you can cut down the width of the foam seal to work in that area.

Glad to help.

When you pull the foam seal over the top of the cooler, back up the tape just a tad at the corners. If you just pull it over the foam seal will have more rounded outer corners and not seal quite as well. You want more of squared off outer corners to really seal against the inside of the shroud.
