69 Squareback, rebuilt engine with dual carbs
I've taken apart the transmission twice already and can not figure out why I have no 2nd, 3rd or reverse. It happened when I was reversing out of the garage, 3rd gear did not engage, drove back into garage and then reverse stopped working as well. Thought it might be valves seized but when taken apart no issue was found. Just put in the proper ATF as well. |

| I don't have that one but I found the 1968 VW Program manual for auto transmissions and that helped put me in the right direction. It could be either my direct and reverse clutch faulty or the servo faulty. My dad thinks it could be that my gaskets and seals have gone. It's looking like I'm going to have to rebuild my transmission. :( |
