| How do you feel about doing it yourself? really easy, I just did mine, basic tools and and extra pair of hands to mount the awning on the brackets is all you need. If you want rivet nuts in the body panels then I can share some info that helps. I can help you along the way if all you need is some support online or on the phone. |

I'm a bit intimidated to install myself. John who lives local offered to install:)
Is it a good idea to add on the side body bolt bracket for extra support? Do the awnings withstand 30-40 mile/hr winds? I'm planning on purchasing mine from gowesty and driving there to pick it up since shipping is close to $200. Are there better deals elsewhere? Thanks!! |

I don't think you will save shipping costs by picking it up from GW. The awning has to be shipped from Florida (Fiamma USA), drop shipped, so you will get charged for shipping. Ask them in case I'm wrong.
Look at Eurocampers (http://www.eurocampers.com/?gclid=CJzOgeir4K8CFUEGRQodvz7-yQ), they used to have slightly better prices. I got mine from GW.
About the rivet nuts (side body bolt): it depends on your driving, the 10ft awning is a heavy beast, there is a chance that the weight of the awning will bend or deform the raingutter if you drive a lot over uneven pavement, potholes, offroading, unless you install the rivet nuts.
Not a chance the awning will hold up to those winds you mentioned when open. Not even 15mph winds unless you do a good job at securing the legs and adding weight to them, and even with that.... [-X |

| Ok thanks alot! Really wanted the black casing but it's not made in the f45s newer model which only comes in white or titanium. The model before that, the black that i wanted, were made with plastic parts that I've read can break. do you think I'm better off getting the non Plastic fiamma awning? I figure titanium would look ok against my chocolate brown westy. Hmm |

| I have the "titanium" version, it is more like titanium white. Less grey metallic than I expected but it goes well with the alloy rims and my grey titanium cargo box. I also read about the previous version and those plastic pieces that are prone to breaking but I have no experience about it. |
