So, I'll be doing some work on a friends van and wanted to see what you guys recommend to get it up to snuff.
The details I know so far:
The owner told me that it was an 86 or an 87, he wasn't totally sure.
IT has been sitting for 2.5 years, it ran fine when it was parked, and started last summer, but won't start this summer, and get this, when he tried to start it this spring it was leaking gas, can you believe it??!?!?! ;-) I told him to NOT TRY STARTING IT ANY MORE as it obviously needs new fuel lines.
The van is a wolfsburg westy weekender.
Apart from the obvious need for fuel lines what else do you guys recommend to be adjusted/replace/checked on the van?
I was planning on spending about 10 hours working on it (maybe it won't need that much work, maybe it will need more...) and he has ~$500 to potentially spend for parts.
I was going to install one of my pop top shock kits too 8) |

That is quite the through list!
I'll sort through and sort it based primarily on making the vehicle safe and secondly on bang for the buck.
Thanks 8) |
