Hey does anyone know where I can get a new gasket that goes between the heat exchanger and the fan shroud?

German Supply has the part listed as:

looks to be out of stock

Any FLAPS will have it.

I will restate the method I use. I lay a bead of high temperature copper silicone caulk inside the gasket area of the heat exchanger, and I let it sit until it has skinned over well, but not yet fully set. I then install the heat exchanger. The silicone will form a good tight fitting seal and it doesn't matter if you get some adhesion, in fact some adhesion is referable as it keeps the joint from moving, rattling, and wearing. I do the same with the little cover plates.

That's a good idea. I tried this method but didn't let the silicone dry/cure. It was a mess and never got a good seal. I'll try that method.

these parts are still available. Check worldimpex parts or a 911 parts dealer. search the part number and it will come up. I bought all new ones but they were pricey $40 plus bucks
