hi okay i have a 1835cc im building with a 110 came and stock heads that were cut to fit 94mm pistons and bigger valves were put in and it will have 92mm thick wall pistons and i have some 34 baby webers can i just put bigger jets and run it like that thanks for helping

you can but those carbs are going to be a bit of a restriction on how much power your engine will make because with that many cc and bigger valve heads and a 110 cam it will want to breathe more the ICT carbs are good for a stock or mild 1600 but not much bigger engine than that i assume you have a header on your engine at least a 1 3/8" or 1 1/2" would be better and if you add some 40IDF webers then the engine could breathe better and you'd see a real jump in power and drivability the small webers will work but you are leaving a lot on the table maybe you could sell them they are a rather popular carb especially today with everyone building motors for fuel mileage you could sell them and get a good portion towards a set of 40IDFs I really think this would be the way to go with your combo I guess your heads have 40 x 35.5 valves thats a nice old school combo you don't see many 1835s but they were real popular back in the day anyway those are my thoughts and i can't think of much more to add to this one long sentence

1835 is a good "small" engine that has alot of potentinal for power.

I agree with Darth.

I had a customer that was not happy with the way his stock valved (no porting) 1835 with w110 ran. He had dual Kadrons on it and a 1 3/8 hideaway (Phoenix). He thought it was engine size holding him back wanted a 2 liter. As much as I would not have minded building him a 2 liter, I told him that the engne is fine (after checking compression and leakdown) but it is the Kadrons that are holding you back. Let's put a set of 40IDF's (28mm vents) in this and see if you like that.

We installed my loaner set of 40IDF's and he was hooked. The new carbs improved idle quality. Acceleration all across the rpm range from off idle to 5200 rpm where he was shifting. Engine response when driving in cut and thrust traffic was also much improved.

thanks yea my friend was telling me that the baby webers may hold me back and its a possibility that it could burn my motor up. I just wanted to hear what other people thought because im running on a low budget and had those carbs Im gonna invest in the 40IDF's thanks

glad to hear you're gonna get some IDF's the ICT's won't burn up your engine if they are jetted properly it's just that they will act as a choke above a certain rpm because of their size

Oh OK thanks a lot
