| I'm 97% sure I lined up the camshaft and crankshaft gears on re-assembly. Now, when trying to adjust the valves, the timing seems to be off. When I get the intake and exhaust valves where they should be, the timing mark on the crankshft pulley is off TDC to the left about an inch and a half. Any thoughts? |

degree it.
I have a "equalizer pully" that is off about 5 degrees. check tdc on the pully also. |

| Is there a difference between a Type III and a Type I cam? The engine I am putting back together started life as a Type III, and I have re-assembled it per directions as a Type I, using all the old parts. Maybe my timing is off 180 degrees from where I think it is, as it is still a Type III on the inside? |

| It's pretty easy to see through the oilpump hole. |
