anyone know of a stud that can be screwed into the holes on the front hub so you can hang the wheel up there while putting in the wheel bolts?
something like a wheel stud but removable, say by an Allen head socket or a slotted driver... |

T3 technique? no need to reinvent the wheel here guys- vw has made these since 2003. factory equipment on touregs. most vw/audi come with a plastic version. the toureg is aluminum. part# 7L0 012 223. they call it a tommy bar. i dont think they're more then $10 from the dealer. i got a few for the shop. makes putting on heavy ass wheels easy. |

Why support some unknown on EBay when you can keep
it in our community with Chris at T3?
X2 for putting studs all the way around. I also wonder
what VW was thinking with using different hardware front
to rear. Once you put studs on the front you will wonder
how you ever lived without them... |

Let's support Vanagon specific vendors not just always look for the cheapest crap to bolt on and than bitch about the quality. |

I used T3 Techniques stud conversions when we fabbed the new brakes up front.
I can't imagine going back to bolts.
And so far they have worked perfectly. (Follow the install instructions!) |

I have used them with stock rotors, but use SA front hubs with incorporated studs when upgrading the front brakes to Girling 60s.
Chris's parts are the quality I am refering too.
Yes, follow the instructions and measure beforehand, so you can calculate the backspacing, offset, what have you and get the perfect size studs.
Too long and closed lug nuts will bottom out :!: |
