I am rebuilding my Solex 32-34 pdsit Carburetor and I was wondering 40MM EMPI BROSOL/SOLEX wouild work as a float replacement? Thanks

if the old float is a hollow black plastic shake it and listen to hear if it has fuel in it. You can also immerse it in the sink or bathtub and see if bubbles come out of it. If it is still sealed then you don't need new floats. If the float is a hard foam then find another carb to rob parts from.

If the new float is the same weight as the original, and it fits, you should be able to use it. I think 32-34 pdsit carbs have 7 gram floats.
