| I just noticed in the new May issue of Hot VW's that EMPI is selling "BTR" copies. Does anyone have experience with these? |

| be aware the knock-off's are cast whereas the BTR is a forged wheel. That will matter if using off-road. I've seen some bugs and buses using these wheels on the street and they are sexy. |

So could a 6.5" btr with a backspace of 2.5" fit on a short axle beetle without crazy mods? |

Cast wheels have been around forever and don't break unless they hit a curb! |

Not to hijack the thread... But I've been looking at these myself. Does anyone have any experience running these on a lowered split bus?

| Those are the ones I was asking about. I think if you're lowered you might have trouble running the 6.5's in the rear. I'm not 100% sure of it though. They are quite sexy though. |
