First off.. thanks for all the info you guys have been providing lately. It's really helping me work to dial in the few known issues I'm having
So in the camper I seem to have something going on with either the camper wiring or the aux battery. I see that the van does have the gowesty isolator kit, so the cig lighter, stereo, radio, lights, and camper stuff run off only the aux when the car is off.
Problem: Occasionally (even after driving a couple hours), I'll turn on a light or the sink or something and notice either its very dim, or running really slow (sink). I'll switch it on and off a few times, and poof, now I've got good light or operation of the sink.
Today I was just playing with it. Had the car off, radio on and was switching the rear camper light on. When I did that, the radio 'turned off' without the light coming on, then the radio came back and the light was dim. I switched it off and on and the light was brighter.
The rear light was interesting, but I don't think it is the source of the problem.
I looked at the battery terminals and thought they looked okay. I know the battery is only around 8mo old.
Anyone suspect a smoking gun on this? |

| Sounds like a weak connection powering that circuit. Check the wire from your aux at the fuse box. Make sure the connection is good. |

| My first guess would be that you've got a really weak aux battery that can't hold much of a charge anymore and an automatic separator that is cutting in and out at weird times. You'll probably have to trace wiring around and play with a multimeter to see what's going on. |
