| Sad News From Texas. Richard Thackerson, Owner of RICH'S VW TOYS passed away on May 1,2012 He had many collectors around the world. If you live in England or Australia please relay the word. I heard he had friends there. Thanks Gregw :cry: |

| That is very sad news indeed. I knew Rich from the Ennis Shows going back to the early 90s. I still have some Austalia VW show posters from those days and several cars from him in my collection. My sympathies to all his family. Philip Amon |

| when I first started collecting vw toys/memorabilia, richard was my go to guy. he always knew what the rarest items were, and their value. we traded so many times lol. my condolenses to his family. I know richard is in heaven driving a vw as we speak. I sincerely hope his massive collection of great value will be handled with care. and richard, you're a kind hearted and wonderful human being. you WILL be missed! rest in peace, my friend, godspeed..... |

The news is a shock to Rich's Australian friends.
He was one of the good guys and we always looked forward to him staying with us when in Sydney. We spent many hours driving around picking up VW toys and parts for him to take back to Texas.
Does anyone know what happened?
