Here is my bumper/cage custom bent w/ 1 5/8" x .120 DOM tubing.

Upper mounting bracket tied into rear body support/roll cage.

Bottom brackets much stronger than the typical mounts.

Knock down kit from Berrien. Quick easy and fits perfect.

Interesting cage - where does Berrien show it on their website as being a knockdown kit?

Looks similar in design purpose to the one I fabricated. Execution is different

I'd like to see a forward looking pic of the Berrien cage, so I can see how that incorporates with the rest of it. Their frame horn supports look pretty stout.

Hope this gives you a better idea. The kit is not as knock down as I remembered. You had to weld on the tubes down to the frame horns. I didn't measure as really should have but, I cleared my CV Axles.

Not the greatest picture and its not fitted properly yet (as it wont work with the gearbox strap kit ive got installed so need to pull the engine and replace the gearbox cradle with the original) but you get the idea. Polished stainless with built in numberplate mount

I actually built platforms that use the body attachment dropouts on the shock towers and tabs on the shock mounts and welded those upper cage support tubes to them so the assembly could be removable, but for all intents and purposes it really isnt unless you take the body off. It does facilitate easy removal of the engine cage however, while still being very stout.
