First of all this is my first post, and I am sorry but I did not know what to search so sorry if this has already been answered. I just got my bus back from the shop on thursday. I had to have my fuel pump replaced and also got a new filter. On my way home from school friday my car started loosing power when I was trying to accelerate and eventually died. The car would jerk and shake whenever it was happening. It had problems more so when I was driving slow but once I was up to speed It drove fine. Saturday afternoon my bus finally gave out on me after driving most of the day and now will start.

Welcome, why was the fuel pump replaced? is your bus fuel injected?

Since the fuel pump was recently replaced that would be the first thing I'd check, it could be a bad part. They shop should have a warranty on their work/parts.

Have you added a few gallons of gasoline to see if that changes anything?

You need to start with the simple things, like checking that no vacuum hoses have been knocked off. There are many and it is easy to miss seeing them.

When was the last time that your engine had a tune up? Are you familiar enough with the distributor to know if the contact points are opening and closing?
