Do you think this is too much for this bug?

"Little Rust"??? The whole passenger side floor pan is rusted out. When do we graduate from "little" to "shit load"?
From what I'm seeing, $3800 is 3 times as much as he should be asking. For the car, as it sits, maybe $800. Add in the trans ($400-900), a beam ($350) and glass ($150) you're cracking MAYBE $2000. I'd offer him $1500. |

I don't know your skill level or experiance with everything that needs to be done to this bug.
My opinion-Yes, it's too much with a lot to be done.

| That s what I was thinking. They do say they have new pans and custom beam that goes with it. I was thinking more like 500.00 just to take it off his hands... |

| Pans are easy to fix. Its the channels and inner fenders that make or break it for me. |

I do. Seems like a lot of money for a project car like this one. For a couple of hundred more im sure you could find a runner. If it were me, I would keep looking..... |

I also think that is a lot of money for an incomplete project car.
No engine, and who knows if the parts to go with the car are decent quality that you would like to use, or just the cheap stuff you don't want to use.
Then there is the really expensive question of all the tiny little parts that aren't on the car. If that stuff is missing, it can easily add up to what he is asking for the car itself.
But the real question you need to ask is what it would cost you to finish this thing? Then compare that to one for sale that is already done and see if this is a good deal or not.
The numbers can add up fast when you start buying parts. And it's often the overlooked stuff that really adds up quick. |

| Don't do it. At least not for that price. Maybe $1500. |
