So i am new here, don't hate on my name, lol. Anyways picked up a 1967 beetle the other day and love it. Its my very first VW. I Got a screaming deal on it, its rough, but at least its a drivable project. I haven't decided what I am going to do with it yet. I know the two front fenders don't match, the previous owner replaced it. Its a true Cali car with black plates. Here she is

Good grab. I have a 67 and a 66. The Samba will be your beetle bible for information. Always use the search feature before posting a question as just about any question has been asked before. The 67 is a special year for the beetle as it was the first 12 volt year. It also has many 1-year parts that make it very unique. If you need a part, first search the classifieds here. If none found, post a wanted ad.

Talk about a small world. I was the owner of that little 67 back in 1997, I called her Baby Blue.
I'll post some picture of it later tonight.

Toyota, TOYOTA! Really? Lol nice car. Zenith blue is one of my favorite 67 colors. Looks like a solid car you got there.

I’ve always wondered what happened to Baby Blue and I wonder why I ever sold it.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I just took a photo of the picture with my cell phone, I’ll scan them and repost them tomorrow.
I didn’t have a digital camera in 1997, as a matter of fact no one did. Where in California are you located and if I can ask what did you pay of it?

Wow, what a small world! Its crazy to find someone else who owned her. The pics look awesome! I purchased "Blue" in Gardena From a gentleman that said he was the third owner. I have always wanted a bug and have been searching for the last couple of months. My main concern was that it ran and no major body damage or rust. This one fit my price range and so I went with it. I can say after driving her for only a few days I am hooked. I can't waite to put my touch on her. I don't know what look I am going to go for, might just keep her stock as much as possible. Thanks for all the welcomes. I am sure I will be posting alot.

hey Dustin B, was their a car show near Hespira? I was out their and i saw 6 or so bugs. I saw a Beige bug with nice on the rear window, SWEET.

Cool man. Yes there are 3 shops of i know out here. 1st is in lancaster called west coast- advized NOT to go there! 2nd is in palmdale called valley volkswagen- i go there all the time and they do very good work and are very knowledgable. 3rd is in acton called kochs- they have been specializing in vw restroations for over 30 years, there world class for repairing original steering wheels. Havent been to kochs yet but cant wait till i do! Post some more pictures of your car man. Looks clean
