My hinge is fubar, and can not be reamed. It's bad enough that I have to pop the top of the door ( ala Fonzy) to get it to open.
Will this hinge work:??:

I know the ad sez it will work, but I dont want to find out later that it won't.
What do you guys use in place of the rivets on assembly, screws?
Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!

The procedure for replacing the hinge is in the Bentley manual. The factory used flathead screws to replace the rivets.

Thanks, more importantly though is making sure that the hinge in the link will actually work for the intended application. Any idea?

I think you will find that your hinge has 4 mounting holes on both sides (body and door) as this replacement hinge only has 3, not sure if it would work correctly or not or how much of a stickler to details you are.

I had the same problem. The middle knuckle on the hinge (the half that is riveted to the door) was worn out past the 2nd oversize. I bought some bushings from McMaster-Carr, drilled the hole out to 10mm (?), pushed the bushings in and reinstalled the pin. Works great and I still kept my doors looking original with the rivets still in place.
