| Thanks for all the information guys, you all really came through on this one. I find it very cool that they were using this kind of tech back then. I personally never knew they had this kind of thing. And I'm going to check out the video of how you plugged in your laptop. That sounds interesting. |

| Did all the F.I. Beetles have that connector in the engine compartment, and was it always in that location? I ask because I don't have the connector in my '79. I have the hole in the firewall insulation and the raised sheet metal in the location, but the dimples have never been made into holes for the attaching screws. |
