i need to replace the stud thats in the case that holds the oil cooled on. my problem is the case i have had the none doghouse stud, my cooler is the dog house cooler, how do you get the stud out and where would i get a new and right size stud, and how do they go in?

You should be able tobget the stud at any fastners store
You could also get a stud install and removal tool for it Or you can use the double nut trick

Double nut the stud and put the wrench on the lower one to remove. Ace hardware carries metric stuff i've seen metric all thread too.

Heres the stud you will need if you don't want to retap the hole.

6mm-8mm oil cooler stud

I got my step stud at the local napa auto parts. like .39 cents. If you have a napa its a stocked item.
