I need an alternator to complete my build for my rail... I found a guy selling an Empi alternator with backing plate and fan and stand with strap for less than 140.00 to my door... is this good enough for my rail... I do plan to add a few lights... but as it is I still need to wire it all up.
I know bosh all the way... but I just thought this may just do the trick... I do have a stand and CB perf. backing plate but none of the other parts...
need:
Alternator
fan
strap
all hardware and shims
thoughts? |

A 55A alternator is probable enough if you don't put more than 4 or 6 medium power lights on buggy....
Being a new alternator, and not having BOSCH brand name on it, it is very good chance its is a Chinese Republic Authentic Part (CRAP)...
Don't know about quality but load rating should be good...

yeah he said its an Empi Alternator... I think most of that stuff is china rebrand crap... but I see where lots of folks have ran them with no issue what so ever...
My other choice would be to buy a Bosh alternator and then get a fan and a strap and the hardware... |
