I have a 74 Ghia with the 4 prong wiper switch that mounts on the column, and California Imports sells the switch that has the six prong wiring harness and the say just pull out the extra pins and the switch will fit. WRONG. Does anybody know what you do to get the 6 prong harness down to the 4 prong harness size, 'cause there isn't any extra room in the housing where the 4 prong harness goes for the size of the 6 prong harness?
Any advice is deeply appreciated. Maybe California Imports will have someone working Monday who knows what to do.
Here's the part # from Cal. Imports parts web site, "VWC-111-953-519-G - WINDSHIELD WIPER / WASHER SWITCH COLUMN MOUNT - BEETLE 71-79 / GHIA 71-74 - SEE SPECIAL NOTES" |

| Kgpr sells wiper switch with 4 prongs--- 2 styles. is the loom in the car the one with 6 prongs? or is the switch cip is selling the one with 6 prongs? if problem is latter I would return the switch and get which ever is the right one from KGPR. after looking at the cip website I would guess that you got the wrong switch |

Mr. ovghiaguy,
You're right I found the 2 switches on KGPR & EIS. Thanx for the info, I'll definitely send the 6 prong switch back CIP |
