Hi just to say I have joined the Samba and it looks good to me. I see a number of people I recognise immediatly from the registry talk forum. I of course no longer can post there but look forward to doing so on here.

For those who don't know me at all, I drive a 59 356A super. Owned it since the 60's and its a nice driver. Out in it 2 or 3 times a week every week! ( But don't like using windscreeen wipers )

Welcome to thesamba. I am also a newcomer here. It seems like a warm and friendly place. ;-)

To those who don't know, Roy and I both own '59 Super coupes. But I think the steering wheel in Roy's car may be on the "wrong" side! :o

Welcome Roy! I'm lovin' it here! For example, I posted the same license plate question months ago on the other "world class" forum and this forum came through with good info. Not one reply from the registry.

Welcome Roy--I just registered too! Still a member on the other 356 forum, but it seems so dead since Barry and Glenn have left.

I have been a lurker here for years, but finally registered. Now if I could just figure out how to post photos!

Welcome Roy...remember your car from the other site! And welcome Barry, too...and all the other exiles :-)

Pat, at the top of the browser window, mouse over Gallery, and an Add Photo link will appear. Anything you upload there will be associated with your account in My Photos. You can also embed external links to Picasa, etc (I understand). Once an image is uploaded it will show you the bbcode for embedding the image in your forum post...just copy/paste.

Ah, back with old friends and meeting new ones too :D I am so pleased about this, I really agreed so much with all your comments of late and could not even let you know.

What a nice welcome here :D

Thanks very much and I guess I will look now into the procedure on how you upload some photo's on Samba. ( even an avatar maybe )
