i have been serching high and low for my first bug and have finaly found her! i had my heart set on a 66 or early but when i saw this 72 for sale i had to make my move. very clean gloss black ,slammed, great sounding mondo, it has the looks but now i want performance, i want to do a large (2332) dual webber, stroker, but i dont know much about about bugs yet, is this TOO big? where can i find a good quality case the i wont have to have super machined just so it will work? the bug handels great city and freeway, so it will stay as is untill the BEAST motor is built, but i need your guys imput and any tips you could give a VW newbie would be greatly appreciated!!!! spelling?

Nah, no motor is too big. Just that for a street car, it has to be streetable. Stay somewhat mild on the heads and cam and you will love a 2332. TONS OF TORQUE!! Congrats on the purchase.

Some say that '72 has the best handeling thru the years.
as far as the motor go as big as your pocket book allows. :D

Upgrade the brakes first! Discs in front and Type 3 or 4 in rear.
