| I plan to change over to wide 5 smoothie wheels on my ghia. Does anyone know of the width of these type of wheels? 5 and a half inch wide wheels will not fit in my spare wheel cubby hole in front. Basically what I'm asking is 4 and a half inch width available on these type (5 lug smoothies)? |

Type 3 wide 5 rims are 4.5 inches wide, and are ET 46, which tucks the rim inward. This would be a good choice for a t-14 Ghia (so it doesn't rub the fender lip). I'm running them on my 64 T-34 Ghia, but they came stock on it. Most stock beetle wide 5s are only 4 inches wide (how you tell the difference). Also most wide 5 bus rims are only 14 inch. |
