Nice idea but I don't think Smart cars will ever be as plentiful as the venerable old Beetle was. That crazy amount of cheap rolling stock was what fueled the kit car / dunebuggy phenomena. The aftermarket producers are not going to support a small market, and they don't care too much for the budget conscious VW crowd now....

I get to drive a smart car from time to time and they are fun. The way they shift takes a bit of getting use to but its a fun car to drive.

As a dune buggy though? No way!
