Just wondering if anyone is heading here for their last Campout. Never been but it looks like a nice event. I should be there for Sunday before I head down the coast.

Hi Matt,

I've been to two Parts Obsolete campouts and they are a blast. You said this year's was the "last Campout". I don't see any reference to it being the "last" on the web page you linked to. How did you hear that this year's would be the last?

Matt, thanks for the link. Sorry to hear that will be the last Campout. I went in 2005 and 2007. If you have never been, then go to the one this month!

A little bird told me that the President of the 356 Registry will attend all the way from Georgia!

Anyone who is attending, please tell George that Bruce Baker said "hi." (I'll say "hi" here now to the other trusties who read the Samba regularly but may not be attending Gary's shindig.)

I showed up this am for the swap meet in my 95 Carrera. The gps sent us down some back roads to a ferry crossing that was close. We then took the long way around but it's a scenic drive. I don't know anybody so my wife and I just walked around for an hour and moved on to the coast. There was a gorgeous ivory/red A coupe there plus other Porsche models and VWs. It's a nice little event. Too bad that shirts were sold out. I wonder why this is the last one?

As cheesy as it is, I wear a name tag at events. I go to a lot of events and am there to meet Porsche friends, many who I know their names and they know mine, but I don't know them on sight, so I wear a name tag. It also encourages people to say "hi".
This is the one I wore at the Porsche Race Car Classic.
