Seen a lot of threads on this but just need an "OK - you're on the right track."
Redoing the seals, blasting frames, new glass, seals etc. on my 6 pop out Kombi.
I've acquired 6 nice pieces of correct Sekurit glass, replacing generic and Sigla pieces. All 6 pieces have the logo in the upper right corner - is this wrong?
On the passenger side with the logo in the upper right corner, the logo will be readable only from the inside of the bus?
Thank you in advanced for clarifying.

I just pulled mine out of the factory frames and the logo was in the top right corner on the drivers side and top left corner on the passenger side. But you are correct that the logo is facing the inside of the bus on the passenger side.

I dont own a euro or commercial with the Sekurit glass but my deluxe with Sigla glass has the logos on the upper right on the drivers side, upper left on the passenger BUT they are all legible from the outside of the bus.
At least with the sigla glass there are drivers and passengers side specific pieces. |

"Glass is actually the same for all windows, so on one the driver's side the print will be on the outside and correct. On the passenger side print will be inside and backward. The point is the logo should be in the upper rear corner of the popout, so you need to have the right location when you assemble the windows (forward or rear facing, passenger or driver). I know this is true for 64-67 Sekurit, I don't have personal knowledge of earlier buses."

How much earlier, anyone know? The glass did come from a '64, my bus is a '60.
Thanks again, everyone. |

I believe the same is still true... as you have 64 glass, there is only one glass type which is oriented different depending on the window. I have heard that early, pre 59 actually has different glass right to left, but wouldn't be relevent in your case, and I haven't seen or verified. |

Oh man.....I just went to look at mine (new frames and seals, installed, but not on bus yet.). There is no way I will be able to get them all at the top back corners.
So now I will know when people are laughing and pointing at my bus...they are looking at the window logo placements....not me.
Gordo. |

Better more through answer.
Drop gates shows the different logos. A moderator may want to copy the content in case drop gates goes down...

Was at OCTO today and saw many different busses. From what I can tell, independant Logos right to left, only through 55. 56 began the single window different orientation with intially dual reflective logos. So unless prior to 56, all glass is the same with the positioning being top rear corner of the respective window and either regular or inverted Driver to Passenger. |
