I am thinking of having the "over the hump" style Coco mats made as I want a set for my car.
would there be any interest in these?
I am working with a manufacture to see if they can make this style:
or this style:
which would be preferable, any suggestions? |

| I have three sets of the coco mats in the red/white. The first set you pictured are the best ones IMO. I have tried to have new red/white one made through two of the coco mat makers and they have always said the cant do it. :( |

I know the color choices are kind of limited, but you guys don't like these?

This style works on most type 3's and in my opinion fits best. |

No hole for the shifter first off, and second- the red ones need to be red and white. Red and black doesn't cut it. Red and white was the original ZVW design for the red ones. |

I know that black with red dot is available, the only other red is red with natural dot |

nothing wrong with those but I was looking for something more correct in color and design to what was offered by dealers for the early cars. |

Here are several color samples for the mats.
the next question is whether or not to have no backing like original which will make it easier to make or to have a nibbed rubber backing.

Did you look at the detailed images? It sits in front of the shifter. |

Then it's not a convincing repro. :)
not being nitpicky, it's just a question of the way I like it. |

LOL. Probably.
Actually there was a guy selling a buttload of them on eBay when I was building my Granadarot Vari- back when you and I first "met" over parts on here. I picked up a set and let them go with the car when I sold it in '04. Right after that, I guess the seller ran out. He had a BUNCH of them!
I just don't like the black on red. |
