I'd love to use my photoshop/illustrator skills to make a reproduction of my 67's Instruction & Maintenance Manual so I download the images in the archives to take a shot at it.
However - they are incredibly poor quality scans. At best they are 100dpi, with incredible jpg compression artifacts. Some of the text is barely readable in places. Now that's not a huge problem when I'm making something resolution independent like text (or vector art) but for the images... well they are a garbled mess.
I'd buy one to fix that but they seem to be rather impossible to find (or sellers are unresponsive).
Does anyone out there have one that they'd be willing to scan at a high resolution? Even if it's not in the best condition it would be better to work with than the ones in the archives if it was scanned at 600dpi or so.
Obviously I'd release a high-resolution pdf for everyone's use when I'm done. |

They are a LOT clearer than the other one (they are different manuals, sorta). But they are still very low resolution.
To get them printable they'd need to be at least double the size. Ideally triple.
I've been using the Instruction Manual you linked to (rather than the Instruction & Maintenance Manual) as a backup reference.
Side note - did both of the manuals come with the bus, or did different models get on or the other. I've looked around for and answer to that but it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. If both... well I guess I have more work on my plate ;) |
