I've had both good and bad experiencies, more recently bad. But why subject yourself to the the risk of grief and hassle by dealing with a company that doesn't deliver good quality/service consistently.

They are a stand up business. They sent me my parts over night no charge. It is not there fault. UPS and US customs are to blame also. DL

got my order today it took a couple weeks..I think cip is good if you know they have what you want and don't mind waiting a little longer. I admit though I don't like having stuff shipped all the way from Canada when I can get stuff in two days from local outfits here in so. cal

Maybe this is the standard stuff every one has (Brazilian junk), but its not what's in the picture, and nowhere near what came from the factory. It is only about 1/16" in. thick, compared to the stock stuff which was at least 1/4". The labelling stuff does not peel off or anything, thats just how it goes in. I called them, and they said thats all thats available, and its not supposed to seen anyway. Like I'm gonna put some brazilian linoleum on the floor of my car.
I'll take it of your hands

Got my stuff.

Took two weeks.

Ordered a bunch of stuff yesterday.

Paid $50 for shipping.. we'll see how that comes.

Ordered June 29. Received today 7/10. That's 6 business days and I used the free shipping to south Georgia. No complaints here in three purchases so far.

I'll be back!

Actually this stuff is about the same thickness of the material that was originally used on the inner door and quarter panels. I'll probably cut it into sections and use it for that instead. 8)

I received my order in 6 business days using the free shipping option. Everything was as ordered. I've made several orders now all with free shipping with no issues at all and the quality of the parts is as advertised. One thing that is great about their website is that if something is out of stock, it tells you and won't let you buy it. Other shops will charge your credit card and make you wait for stuff they don't even have and then give you a hard time if you want a refund so you can buy elsewhere.

Ordered Monday morning, got it Wednesday afternoon. Of course, I used expedited shipping (UPS 2-3 day option). After seeing the feedback regarding long shipping times, I decided to pay because I wanted it. My opinion, if you take the free shipping option, wait for your package. Might take 5 days, might take 3 weeks. If you want it fast, then pay for it.

AJ Quick Wed Jul 18, 2007 2:38 pm

They must have sent it out the same day? Eh?

All of my orders have taken 2 days just to get sent out.

I paid about $50 for 7-10 day shipping last week and it will be here tomorrow. If I could have afforded the 2-3 day shipping I would have done it.. (it was $100+).

visibleink Wed Jul 25, 2007 12:42 pm

I've used them several times lately and cip1 is great, imo. I always choose the free shipping and don't mind waiting - I'm able to plan ahead for most maint/repairs I do to my Westy. Orders are always 100% accurate and packed well.

Right now they have 10% off.

Paul,

The Bank of Canada might list the dollar at that price but you won't buy it at that figure. The Bank of Canada rate is what the Banks trade the dollar at. Your bank will mark the price up $.03 to $.04 to sell it to you.

Later,
Jeff....

you are right about a difference between buying and selling exchange rates, however, where i live it is a difference of ~2% or ~2 cents.

Also - since this is a feedback thread - i'll have to say i have had nothing but good expereinces with CIP to date. this is my only issue (and it is an administrative one at that).

I will give Kris a call tomorrow.

Now from what I have read why don't we order from the US web site, if there shipping from Canada then still no customs and cheaper price for all Canadians. Eh! Too bad you can't order from the US site you have to go to the Canadian site!

They always forget something at the drive through!

AJ Quick Tue Jul 31, 2007 1:10 pm

Ordered Thursday night. Got package today while paying for 2-3 day shipping. Arrived on 3rd business day so that was good.. just ordered something last night with 3-4 shipping (or 4-5?).. hope to see it by the end of the week.

Stuart69 Tue Jul 31, 2007 1:34 pm

For all you Canadians out there this is the answer I got from CIP1 today abut the price differential between the Canadian site and the US one.

"If you've ever bought parts from the states and had them shipped to your door, you were likely hit with taxes, duties and brokerage fees at the border. CIP is hit with those same fees on all parts we import. The added expense is reflected in the resale price."

I'm putting an order in total $601 CDN for the same items on the us site $464 US. WTF? I have a hard time with that, with exchange it come to $564 US still 100 dollars different. Man the dollars high and we still get screwed.

It's no fun veedub'n when the bus ain't run'n!

Received order in about 10 working days. Ordered July 23, items in hand August 3. Free ground shipping.

I know for all the pricing issues, curse their oily hides, the big order I had placed came in 3, count them 3 days! I just opened it up the only problem was a bent push rod tube lip, called and its the seconded one today their pulling the entire stock and there sending me a fully inspected one out today awesome.

They make you feel all warm and soft inside.

AJ Quick Fri Aug 03, 2007 2:44 pm

Paid for expidited shipping (2 day) and 3 day shipping. UPS screwed up.. going to take 5-6 days (not including the weekend). I'm pissed.

Let me just start off by saying I don't really care for Canadians. I haven't typically had the best experiences with them. That being said the guys over at CIP1 are awsome. They have one of the best, easiest to use websites I have ever seen. It puts CBs flashy ass site to shame. I ordered about $100 worth of stuff from CIP1 on a sunday night and opted for the free shipping (10-14 business days now) and kind of forgot about it because I thought it would take 2 weeks to come in and to my surprise on the following thursday afternoon it was on my doorstep. That's only 4 days, not 10-14 days like it was supposed to be. Just put in another $120 order last sunday again but didn't get the same speedy expedition as my last order. Hopefully next week it'll show up. Thanks for doing good business guys.

Brad

i had a good experience with cip1 but, do know that if you live on the east coast it will take forever for your parts to get to you. (2 weeks on standard (not free) shipping.)

but everything was there and good! :D

AJ Quick Tue Aug 07, 2007 11:57 am

UPS took 6 business days for their 3 day shipping, and 4 days for their 2 day shipping.

<--- Pissed.

CIP1 sent the orders out right away though, which is a good improvement.
