UPS said CIP is the one who needs to get a refund.
I asked them about it, and they said it wasn't possible because the delay was in customs. |

This is my second order with them. The first was delivered in exactly two weeks (free shipping).
This order however is taking it's sweet time. I placed the order on July 27th, and by the 31st I had not received a shipping confirmation, so I emailed their customer service, and was informed that it shipped the day before.

Hi there,
Im sorry about that, your order was shipped yesterday July 30th.
Thank you,

So OK, no problem. I waited a day for the UPS tracking info to update and still no info, so finally on Aug 2 I am able to access the tracking info, and it says that Billing info was received July 31, not July 30 like I was told. I have been checking the tracking info every day since then. This is what I've got (it reads from the bottom up):

I called UPS with the tracking # and they said that their records show that it is still in Redmond, just like the tracking info says.
So according to this my order is still in Washington, and most likely will NOT be delivered by Aug 13.
The only beef I have with cip1 is that I apparently had to call and remind them to ship my order. This UPS delivery process is what's really pissing me off. |

If you look at a calendar you will see that they shipped your order on the second business day after you placed the order. So the only part of your delay that could be attributed to CIP is one day's delay. What time did you place the order on the 27th? |

I placed the order at 11:21AM PST on the 27th. I don't care about the one day delay. I'd have much rather have been told "we are shipping today", than be told otherwise, as actually happened, and find out it was not true. I place a high value on trust, and prefer to do business with companies that respect my business no matter what size. This is only one incident, and only my second order. It will not keep me from doing business with them in the future, unless they make a habit of it.
The real beef I have is with UPS, specially if my parts are not here next week. |

Ok then.
I had ordered a set a Radar wheels one year ago. No problems at all. They arrived within 7 WORKING days.
I have just ordered my 2nd set of Radars just minutes ago.
If they take 8 WORKING days to arrive, I'll not be pissed.
All is good.
I just need another bus to order my 3rd set. |

Always happy with CIP1 , did many orders from them , always a pleasure.
Free shipping & 10% off in sales saves a few $$$
Recently I ordered from them genuine rebuilt VW rockers among many other parts , however in the ad it's said that they come with new screws & nuts ( also in the picture ) , but...I got them without. I called CIP1 and they sent to me 8 genuine VW screws & nuts.
Thanks

the canadian version of cip1.com is exeptable , my main complaint with them is you REALLY get screwed on the shipping , I am only 100 ? miles or less from their warehouse and they still charge the same $25.00 per large item such as brake drums fender, this is the same amount as if it were going to the east coast . And if you want to order by phone they nail you again , once on the item , and then on the shipping. if you phone your order in . all you are ordering is smaller stuff that would been shipped for free if you ordered oneline . They charge you $16.99 shipping onless you buy $200.00 worth of parts . the staff there are nice to deal with and I have never had any complains in regards to the packaging . their shipping could be better , they only ship UPS. and in my location they are slower than the second coming of christ , 12 to get a parcel 100 miles or less . we dont even have a ups office in powell river , there was some cat in a mini-van pulls up in my front yard almost 2 weeks after the order .
Canada post would be a better shipping choice or at least a option if requested . |

| The problem with the post office is that they won't pick up packages at CIP's wharehouse. CIP would have to send a driver to the post office, costing extra. |

Update.
Packages are in Transit to Kentucky. There is no way they will make it to KY then to MN and then delivered. Yet UPS still says "Package on time with Scheduled delivery of" tomorrow morning.
UPS sucks.
I've been ordering from MidAmerica and they have cheap FedEx shipping that gets here in 2 days. I'll be ordering from them more often. |

Personally, I would compare pricing as Mid-america's pricing is almost criminally high. |

I do see slightly higher prices from most VW places compared to Cip1. I have put in maybe 10 orders with Cip1 since June.. and it looks like (when looking at Order Number) that they get hundreds of orders a day.
No wonder...
However. In order to get 2-3 day shipping from CIP1 it costs atleast $20. I have seen it as high as $50 - $100 on some of my orders.
I could have bought from MidAmerica, paid for ground shipping for usually less than $20.. and have gotten the parts in 2 days since I'm only 2 states away. |

Looks like UPS screwed up again. Or ... "The Weather".
A package that should have been delivered today is most likely going to be here... what.. Monday? |

Actually because of the current exchange rate, CIP'S prices have gone up significantly too. Having price shopped most of the "big" parts vendors, MidAmerica is the number 1 MOST expensive parts vendor by far. Cip is mid-range in the scale. Now, don't get me wrong, I will pay top dollar for OE quality parts and my favorite vendor is Wolfsburg West. They are not the cheapest either but have great parts and by far the best customer service I have seen. I believe all parts house should make a profit as it's important to them to be able to provide top customer service. I do object when a vendor has the highest prices and mediocre service like MidAmerica. |
