Hi,
My 1970 camper is popping out of 3rd and 4th gear. I went all through the shift linkage and nose cone last year. I think it is time for a rebuilt one. I found the classified ad below. Seems like a good deal but i want to make sure it will work and has the same gear ratios. Is there a place to look up the numbers? Thanks for your help!

He says the R&P is 5.38:1 it looks like all the other 4th gear options are pretty similar for 002s that came with this R&P. Is that correct?

that has some mods to it that may or may not work with yours.

Why don't you call Gary at Surburban engine in Boston and see who in the NE does a quality job on rebuilds. Big Bore (Alaska), Rick Long (N. Cal, Rancho Trans (So Cal) are commonly used out here. Someone back there must do rebuilds or at lease sell rebuilt ones. BusDepot in PA sells them but they get them from Rancho in So Cal I believe and warranty is you have to send it back to Rancho so shipping would bite if you had any issues.

Yea, i would have to swap the CV flanges but i think that is all. If i can get one without having to ship a core around it will save a bit of money, that is why i was looking at this one. I will look up Gary as well.

If you have to go out of state for a trans consider Arizona Transaxle Exchange. Of trans houses that's my top choice.
