Hi,
I built my westfalia tow hitch under my bus.
The bus is build in 1956.
The hitch in a typ: KA
Baujahr: 1957

It fits on all points, but not on the bumper.
I think the tap come behind the bumper?
Does anyone have an idea?

Hmm, is the position on a wolfsburg build bus different to a hannover bus?
I think only the position of the tap is wrong. The distance between the ball and tap is too small, or?
My Bus is build after April 56 in Hannover.

In this pic I think I see the round bar under the transmission, like a Wolfsburg bus.

That is the right hitch for that bus. The steel bumper looks a bit flat in the middle. The bumper brackets are slotted. You might try loosening everything up to see if the spoon will fit behind the bumper. The spoon looks like it might be bent a little too far back, maybe with some gentle persuasion you can get it to fit.

If you can't get it to fit, and you want to sell the hitch, PM me, as I would like a hitch of that style for my '56.

Sorry, the Bus is Build 22. March 1956.
But only the gearbox tube looks like a Wolfsburg bus.
It have no rubber in fueltank lid, lips on the air intake in front of the roof...

The gearbox tube defines it as a Wolfsburg bus, albeit a late one.
The other things may, or may not, be there on a wolfsburg bus, depending on when it was buildt.

Hi, i found these pictures in a Book. I can see, the tow hitch are the same as mine.
The latches go in front of the Bumper.
Give it more pictures from this kind of tow hitch?
