So, I posted about this issue a month ago and I figured out that the coil wasn't getting power and needed a new wire. Today it won't start up, but it turns over strong. All the electrical stuff is working. I ran a wire straight from the coil to the battery and it started right up. When I remove the wire, the engine continues to run. Any ideas?

And while you are at it your problem sounds like the ignition switch or the wire or a connection from it to the coil.
