| I am putting a pyramid trans in my fiberglass buggy. I am using stock bug IRS trailing arms that have been reinforced. I am also planning on using my stock 67 swingaxle drum brakes. I want to run bus c.v.'s. I assume I need bus flanges, but what about the stub axle and axles? Do I need a special conversion stub axle? Can I use the stock bug axles? |

No, if you do in fact have a pyramid (aka 5 rib bus) transmission, it already has bus flanges on it...unless someone upgraded it for Porsche 930 or bigger cv joints.
If your transmission doesn't look like this, then we are not on the same page...

will work with Type 2 or type 4 CVs. If you have Type 2 CVs or come across an inexpensive set, they will work well enough. If you have to pay retail, get Type 4 CVs |

| My trans does look like that, and it did have the flanges changed to 930's, but I cant use the 930's with my stock reinforced trailing arms, so I sold them along with a 3 x 3 set up I couldnt use. |
