Who plans on going to West River Westy's (Vermont) on July 13, 14, 15? I'd like to go and get to the area about the 11th and stay till 16 or 17th.

the crew from Syracuse are planning to attend on the return of our NY-VT-NH-MAINE trip.
we're scheduled to arrive late on friday from central NH.. it'll be a long driving day from Ossipee, NH as we're hoping to take the Kanc (Rt112) across to vermont.

We plan on going. :D We were there 3 years ago and had a realy good time. My wife even won the regata!

Officially starts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I just like getting to the areas a few days early so I'm rested up for the gathering and meetings :wink:

What's the regatta? I'll have to remember to pack some swimming stuff.

it's an inner tube (or whatever floats) race down the river that runs along the campground.

I'll be there. Arriving Friday evening - probably late (9:00pm) convoying along with a friend in 70's Ford van. Convinced him that would be OK, so I want you all on your best behavior with no negative Ford comments :lol: It's a sweet looking van and I know it will get way more attention than mine.

Got to get some tubes ready! Setting up badmitton net again - anyone should feel free to use it. Plan to hike Bald Mountain with our dogs. Maybe try to find the Ledges trail to hike as well.

At the end of business tomorrow I will officially be on vacation! Westy is running great and I cross my fingers that nothing bad happens so I can be on my way to my first WRW's on Thursday. My buddy just stopped by my house and we did the "Pit Crew" swap of all four tires including the spare on his Westy, so it too can go to WRW's!

It looks like I can go now. Have to come up with a fuel budget, so looking for diesel prices in Upper NY State and Vermont. Anyone? Diesel is cheaper than gas here in Canada but in my travels to date diesel has been quite pricey stateside. Figure it's an 8 to 9 hr drive from Toronto crossing at 1000 Island crossing, 81S to 90E to Shenectady. What's the best route from Shenectady to Townsend? I am soooo excited.
