I wouldn't want to try that with my beetle.

I dont blame you. Thats why you have to beat on the newer cars. I like to pretend my 4wd Ford Escape handles like this in the snow...

not like it matters, from what i understand only the roof and MAYBE the doors are genuine ford parts...

That is absolutely badass!!!! Except for the ghey song at the end.

Fun to watch but the parts where he just spins the car around inside a rectangle seemed pointless to me.

I was expecting the guy on the motorcycle to do something more, like ride over the car when it came at him or something.

we were driven like that &drifting in the early 70's in japan& showing the locals how to do it.now they claim they invented it from what I have read..where were the camcorders when we needed them.we had a group of friends in thier/our cars (mazdas, datsuns etc)nose to tail drifting for hours all over the island late nights.and dad wondered why the tires didnt last.
we were just doing what we did in the woods playing around chasing each other, what a blast.I sure miss those $19&$22.00 tires.

You can hit those corners much harder off the bridge if you arent drifting. Id like to see him go fast instead of getting sideways.

Its a rally car modified for...excessive donuts. I still think its more impressive to watch these things wizzz past trees at 90 mph on dirt and gravel.

BerylGreen63, see? So much cooler. And they do it at night too, which is downright insane!

i wonder how much it cost and how long it took to set that all up. what an inconvenience for residents.

BerylGreen63 Thu Jul 12, 2012 9:37 am

My guess is that it was filmed sometime around Memorial day as they close the bridge for construction every year, so the actual hassle might have not been that much at least for some parts. Shutting down streets in the city however might have been a pain.
