Junk yard or an old VW dude in the neighborhood...
Parts aren't going to be sold for a clutch. It's sold as an assembled unit.
That unit is only worth about $59 if that. Is there some reason you have to stick with that one?

I just thought it was aeally good clutch how come that guys charging 250 if the pressure plate is only woth $59
where can I get one that matches mine is there only 2 diffrent styles for the sachs in 200mm the finger style like mine and the other style?
Thanks

I don't believe they are made any long; hence the price. I could be wrong. There are comperable clutches out there and better ones for just a few more dollars. What year do you need it for?

Swing axle is and EARLY trans, which does not have the sleeve in the trans for the bearing to slide on. aircooled.net has several clutches to choose from $59 up to $144 and there are tons of sacks clutches on here. I just saw 1 early mildly used from a berg engine for $20 that could be used or used for parts.

Aircooled.net sells an adapter sleeve so u can use a early transmission with a late clutch that I'm gonna get cause I hear the late throw out bearing is a better design as for the sacks I did see that one for twenty but it looks to br an early and idk if the springs are the same

I just upgraded yesterday to the sleeve and removed the pad from my Kennedy plate to convert it to a late clutch. It is a better choice/Newer technology but nothing wrong with the older style in good condidtion. It's a $150 conversion if you already have the PP that converts. I did mine because it's apart and I am reinstalling the 2498 turbo with a stage 4; so I am doing it for insurance purposes.
If you are going through all of the conversion I say just go stage 1 kennedy and daiken super disk and be done if it's in your budget.

yea the kennedy and daiker we exactly what I planned on using if I dont use my current pp and clutch

I have that F&S clutch pictured, from like 25 years ago. About 5 years ago I installed my engine from my 1970 into my 1971, and I removed that center ring. It has worked fine. I can't remember if I removed those three little springs entirely or not, can't remember.

those are only available used, try a junkyard or swap meet. Your local VW garage might have an old one lying in the junk pile.
