Looking for a bike rack for the rear of my bus that holds two bikes. Any idea of where to purchase one? Perhaps someone out there has one they would let go of?

Thanks!

do you have a hitch receiver on the back of your bus?

Welcome, since you are new here I'll do a search for you: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/search.php?search..._chars=200

With a name like FlipsideFabrication I'd think you'd be able to whip something up :D I'm a fan of making my own racks, allows you to customize it to exactly what you want and is often cheaper to boot. Either way, good luck and welcome!

Welcome,
And I'll echo the earlier responses - (1) Use the search feature to overload your mind, and (2) why not fab one up yourself?
Here's what I came up with to work with my (also) homemade roof rack . . .

mines on the right and uses a regular car trunk mounted rack folded flat-ish and mounted to the rear hatch. cost me 3 bucks at a junkyard when i worked there, and works great, i haul my bikes everywhere.....spare engine and all ;)

does make the hatch a bit heavy, but a prop rod is easy to come by, and i rarely have the top hatch open, and when i do i can take the bikes off super easy.

I'm going to fab up my own receiver hitch and buy the hitch mounted bike rack! It even swings down so you can still check your oil etc when you're on the road! any bike store, walmart...even saw one aty a tractor supply store for 80 bucks! I think thats the way to go!

Well, I made my own years ago, because I like to make stuff....

Made from steel pipe, threaded rod and 3/4" EMT. Holds 3 bikes, and is strong enough to hold me, but that put 2 dents in the door........

I like it, it cost me about ten bucks, and like I said, I enjoy building junk so whats the problem?

Fiamma makes a good one. Not sure if there is a supplier in the US but you can get it here:

Edit. I guess the Bus Depot sells it, but probably would still be cheaper just to buy from overseas.
