| I was dumb and put the 12v from the bat to the (-) side of the coil with the wire from the coil to the condenser. No spark..found the mistake and put the 12v feed to the (+) side of the coil..still nothing..changed the coil out ..nothing..Did I fry the condenser? |

Light on or off?...
IF test light off, you have a short in distributor, possible blown condenser or stuck points (closed) ..... IF light on you have a "open" circuit between points and coil..... But just reversing connections to coil should not have any disastrous effect on points or condenser...

| thanks, I just found that the wire entering the dist. going to the points was burnt and a bare spot. Then the wire came right out of the shrink tube at the points end..so I will be changing the points..hope that does it. |
