I have been looking off and on for a while now for an early oval ragtop to hop in and drive or drag home and restore(I`m not too fussy) but they seem to be quite rare compared to the later oval ragtops. Is this a numbers of production thing or were the early ones butchered more or are people just hanging on to them...

Just curious to see what you all think. :)

Grafted 3 fold or not?

Maybe there are more late models because there are more 2 fold ragtops to graft on the market...

I think probably more of them rusted away faster then the sedans did simply because they had that big hole in the roof.

It's difficult to forget and leave roof open on a hard top, but it happens a lot with a rag top. The car gets wet inside and those rubber floor mats were pretty unforgiving when moisture got under them.

So probably the rag top cars went to the masher at a greater rate then the hard tops did.
